Kagiso Rabada took figures of 3-35 as the Delhi Capitals continued their dominance in the IPL with a 46-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals on Friday.
The Capitals batted first and solid contributions by Marcus Stoinis and Shimron Hetmyer down the order helped them post 184-8 in their 20 overs.
The Royals were quick out of the blocks with openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal making a solid starts but Anrich Nortje, Ravi Ashwin, Stoinis and Rabada pulled things back as the Royals’ middle order failed to fire.
Rabada especially became destructive towards the end of the innings as the Royals fell behind the run rate with a number of quick wickets.
The Proteas paceman now dominates the purple cap with a total of 15 wickets, while the Royals picked up their fifth wicket of the campaign to extend their lead at the top of the IPL table.
