• Rabada returns home from IPL

Proteas fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has left the Gujarat Titans squad.

The Titans said Rabada had “to deal with an important personal matter” and did not say when he would return to the franchise.

The 29-year-old played in Gujarat’s first two matches this season, taking 1-41 in four overs in the loss to the Punjab Kings and 1-42 in four overs in the win against the Mumbai Indians.

He did not play against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday, with the Titans fielding just three overseas players in Jos Buttler, Rashid Khan and Sherfane Rutherford.

The other foreigners in the squad, New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Glenn Phillips and Proteas fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, have yet to make an appearance this season.
