Kagiso Rabada’s 2-37 extended his lead at the top of the 2019 IPL wicket-takers list as the Delhi Capitals beat the Rajasthan Royals by six wickets.
The Proteas star continued to light up the cricket world with another stellar performance in the IPL.
He started with an appetiser for the fans with a skilful run-out in his opening over. Ajinkya Rahane pushed a good length delivery to Rabada’s right and the 23-year-old produced a clean pick-up, turned to his left and threw the ball into a diving Sanju Samson’s stumps at the non-striker’s end.

Rabada backed up his start with tidy bowling at the back end of the innings and bowled two economical spells. He recorded 0-19 in his first spell and topped this by taking 2-18 in his second spell.
His figures of 2-37 saw him extend his tally to 23 wickets in the campaign, seven clear of his countryman Imran Tahir (16).

This hardly prevented the Royals from posting a hefty 191-6, thanks to an exquisite unbeaten 105 off 63 balls from Rahane.
Steve Smith (50) also contributed with a classy half-century, his 134-run partnership with Rahane giving the Royals a solid start.
Rabada’s effort stopped RR from passing 200, which proved to be crucial as the Delhi Capitals sealed a six-wicket victory.
India’s World Cup snub, Risabh Pant, was the star for his side with a 36-ball 78 (six fours, four sixes) that included a maximum to ensure the win.
