Kagiso Rabada and Dewald Brevis’ efforts weren’t enough as MI New York suffered a 22-run loss to the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket on Friday night.
Proteas paceman Rabada dismissed Unicorns openers Finn Allen and Matthew Wade cheaply, the former with his first ball, but an unbeaten 91 off 52 balls by Corey Anderson and Shadab Khan’s 61 off 30 saw San Francisco post 215-5.
Rabada finished with figures of 2-32 from his four overs.

Nicholas Pooran (40 off 28 balls), Kieron Pollard (48 off 27) and Tim David (53* off 28) all made useful contributions but their team fell well short on 193-5.
