• Qeshile to lead SA XI against England Lions

EP Warriors wicketkeeper-batsman Sinethemba Qeshile will captain an SA Invitational XI in a four-day match against the England Lions at the Western Province Cricket Club from 10-13 December.

Also included in the 13-man squad are Free State Knights batsman Lesego Senokwane (the leading run-scorer in the ongoing 4-Day Series), North West Dragons all-rounder Ruan de Swart, Warriors batsmen Jordan Hermann and Andile Mogakane, and Central Gauteng Lions fast bowler Codi Yusuf.

CSA high-performance batting lead Imraan Khan will oversee the squad.

“The squad is a well-balanced mix of seasoned players and promising newcomers, each earning their spot through exceptional performances in domestic cricket,” said Khan.

“This match presents an invaluable platform for these players to showcase their skills against high-quality opposition. We look forward to seeing how they embrace this opportunity, just as we saw a number of players do the same earlier this year in the series against Zimbabwe Emerging.

“Playing against the England Lions offers a unique challenge for our players, and we are eager to see how they rise to the occasion.”
