Skipper Dane van Niekerk and spinner Raisibe Ntozakhe shared their thoughts with us before their great win in the first ODI against the England Women.
Raisibe Ntozakhe helps put the squeeze on England Women
Proteas Women's 21-year-old offbreak bowler Raisibe Ntozakhe played a strong hand in restricting the England Women to 97-8 off 34 overs at Worcester. Raisibe kept things tight in her 10 overs, allowing the England batsmen just 21 runs. England later recovered through an undefeated 72 by Katherine Brunt (her highest international score) to drag their score up to 189-9 off their 50 overs. Great performance by the Proteas Women, but let's hope the late rally with the bat won't make the difference.Pace sensation Shabnim Ismail did much of the early damage, ending with an impressive 3-25, while Ayabonga Khaka accounted for half of the England top order, returning figures of 3-42. Raisibe shares her thoughts prior to this match in the attached interview.
