The Proteas beat the West Indies by six wickets in the fourth women’s ODI at the Wanderers on Sunday to claim a 2-1 series win.
Shabnim Ismail took 4-44 as the West Indies were bowled out for 174 in 49.2 overs, with Kycia Knight scoring 48 off 76 balls.
The Proteas reached their target with 61 balls remaining thanks to Andrie Steyn’s 52 off 73 balls, captain Sune Luus’ 47 off 80 and an unbeaten 20 off 17 from Chloe Tryon.
Anisa Mohammed was the West Indies’ best bowler, taking 2-31.
The teams will meet again at the World Cup at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on 23 March.
South Africa begin their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh at the University Oval in Dunedin on 4 March.
