Several Proteas have been rewarded for strong performances in their ongoing tour of Pakistan on the latest update of the ICC women’s player rankings.
While South Africa suffered a 3-0 T20I series loss, new captain Laura Wolvaardt stood out by scoring 157 runs at an average of 52.33 to earn the Player of the Series award.
It also helped the consistent right-hander jump two places to fourth and a new career-high rating on the list for T20I batters, while a group of her teammates picked up similar marks following excellent efforts during the opening two matches of the ODI series.
Experienced all-rounder Marizanne Kapp improves three places to 11th and a new career-best rating on the list for ODI batters, while teammate Lara Goodall jumps five places to equal 37th on the same rankings.
