The Proteas Women claimed a confidence-boosting eight-wicket win against Pakistan in Multan on Friday to secure a 2-1 T20I series triumph.
Needing 154 to win, South Africa recovered from the early loss of Tazmin Brits for a duck, with captain Laura Wolvaardt (45 off 37 balls) and Anneke Bosch (46 off 37) adding 81 runs, before the latter retired hurt.
Annerie Dercksen then scored a career-best 44* off 23 balls and Suné Luus 14* off 13 to help get the visitors over the line with nine balls remaining.
Earlier, Pakistan posted 153-5, with Luus taking 1-18 in her four overs.
The series served as preparation for the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE.
South Africa will face the West Indies (4 October), England (7 October), Scotland (9 October) and Bangladesh (12 October) in Group B.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 17 and 18 October, with the final on 20 October at the Dubai International Stadium.
