The Proteas beat New Zealand by 11 runs in the fifth women’s T20I in Benoni on Sunday to share the series 1-1.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat, the hosts posted 155-5, with opener Tazmin Brits scoring 45 off 38 balls and Suné Luus 36* off 23.
Lea Tahuhu and Molly Penfold each picked up two wickets for the White Ferns.
Nadine de Klerk (3-24) and Masabata Klaas (3-26) then starred with the ball for South Africa as New Zealand were restricted to 144-8, having been 117-1 in the 16th over.
Melia Kerr top-scored for the visitors with 61 off 47 balls, while Suzie Bates made 45 off 42.
The first three matches of the five-match series were rained out, with New Zealand winning the fourth T20I in Benoni on Saturday by eight wickets.
