The Proteas claimed an emphatic 10-wicket win over the West Indies in the third women’s T20I Tri-Series match at Buffalo Park on Wednesday.
Tazmin Brits, the Player of the Match, hit seven fours and a six on her way to an undefeated 50 off 43 deliveries, alongside a composed Laura Wolvaardt (42* off 39), as South Africa reached their target of 98 in 13.4 overs.
Earlier, Tumi Sekhukhune took 2-24 as the West Indies were restricted to 97-6.
They had been 29-4 before Shabika Gajnabi (33 off 34 balls) and captain Hayley Matthews (34 off 26) gave their bowlers something to try defend.
The Proteas next match is against India at the same venue on Saturday.
