The Proteas will play three T20Is and three ODIs in India from 28 September to 11 October.
The second T20I on 2 October will be played in celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday.
The tour will serve as South Africa’s final preparation for the T20 World Cup in Australia.
In June, the Proteas drew a five-match T20I series in India 2-2 after the final match was rained out.
The last time the teams met in an ODI series, in South Africa at the beginning of the year, the Proteas celebrated a 3-0 whitewash.
However, that series was not part of the World Cup Super League, while the upcoming one in India will be.
