• Proteas to get R56-million shirt sponsor

    An Indian food company is set to sponsor the Proteas during the ODI World Cup.

    The Sunday Times reports that the deal with Amul would earn CSA $3-million (about R56-million).

    CSA hopes to announce the sponsorship, which still needs to be approved by its board of directors, when the Proteas’ World Cup squad is named on 5 September.

    The Proteas have not had a sponsor since Standard Bank opted not to renew its title sponsorship deal in April 2020 due to CSA’s boardroom battles.
