CSA’s review of the Proteas’ poor performance at last year’s T20 World Cup in Australia has yet to be completed.
The team, under coach Mark Boucher and captain Temba Bavuma, failed to reach the semi-finals of the tournament after suffering a shock defeat to the Netherlands in their last group game.
“The report turned out to be much more comprehensive than we could have foreseen,” CSA CEO Pholetsi Moseki told Rapport newspaper.
“Just last week we met with all our coaches, and both coaches of the national teams [Shukri Conrad and Rob Walter]. The information that came out of it was very useful. This will also be included in the review.”

Moseki said the review report, which is the responsibility of CSA director of cricket Enoch Nkwe, will be presented to CSA’s cricket committee soon. It will then be taken to the board, before the approved measures are applied.
