Tristan Stubbs has been selected for the Proteas squad that will contest a five-match T20I series against India in June.
The 21-year-old middle-order batsman scored 293 runs for the Warriors in the T20 Challenge last season at an average of 48.83 and a strike rate of 183.12. He hit 23 sixes.
Stubbs was part of the South Africa A team that recently toured Zimbabwe before being called up by the Mumbai Indians. He made his IPL debut last week.
Other notable selections include the return of fast bowler Anrich Nortje from injury and Wayne Parnell, who has not played for the Proteas T20 team since the tour of England in 2017.
Batsmen Reeza Hendricks and Heinrich Klaasen are also back in the Proteas set-up, having been impressive for SA A.
SA U19 star Dewald Brevis, who has produced a couple of memorable knocks for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, will have to wait a bit longer for a senior Proteas call-up.
