Keegan Petersen and David Miller helped the KZN Dolphins beat the Free State Knights by eight wickets in their T20 Challenge match at St George’s Park on Tuesday.
Needing 129 to win, Petersen – who did not travel to New Zealand with the Proteas having recently had Covid-19 – scored 45 off 37 balls at the top of the order.
Miller then helped finish the job by hitting 34 off 22 balls – including five fours and six – with 12 balls remaining. Another Proteas player, Andile Phehlukwayo, made 15* off 17 balls.
Earlier, the Knights were restricted to 128-5.
Opener Raynard van Tonder top-scored with 38 off 35 balls before being run out, while Farhaan Behardien made an unbeaten 36 off 29.
