Corbin Bosch has been accused of breaching his contractual obligations with Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi.
The 30-year-old was picked by Peshawar at the PSL draft in January only for the Mumbai Indians to announce on 8 March that he would be replacing the injured Lizaad Williams in their IPL squad.
As a result, the Pakistan Cricket Board has served Bosch with a legal notice.
“The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments,” a PCB statement said.
“The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame.
“The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter.”
This is the first year in which the PSL will overlap with the IPL – the IPL takes place from 22 March to 25 May and the PSL from 11 April to 18 May.
The PSL had previously been held in February and March, which saw it competing with the SA20, ILT20 and BPL for players.
