Chris Morris has announced his retirement from all cricket.
“Thanks to all who have played a part in my journey whether it be big or small … it’s been a fun ride!” said the 34-year-old on Instagram, adding that he would be taking up a coaching role at the Titans.
Morris represented the Proteas in four Tests, 42 ODIs, and 23 T20Is from 2013 to 2019.
He was also a highly sought-after player in the IPL, playing for the Delhi Daredevils, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.
In 2021, he was bought for an IPL record fee of $2.25 million (R32.7m) by Rajasthan.
However, he was not selected for the Proteas T20 World Cup squad along with other “free agents” Faf du Plessis and Imran Tahir.
