Cricket South Africa has advertised for a successor to former convenor of selection Linda Zondi, who might reapply for the post. Here are the essential requirements for the job, as listed on CSA’s careers page.
Essential requirements
- A relevant diploma or bachelors’ degree in sports management or a similar qualification
- A minimum of five years’ proven experience as a selector;
- Proven experience in talent identification and scouting of cricketers
- Understand the transformation objectives of CSA
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent report-writing skills

- Good attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Conflict management and resolution skills
- Sound analysis and judgement
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to plan, organise and work effectively on own and as part of a team
