South African cricket legend Graeme Pollock is reportedly recovering well from a suspected stroke.
Spook Hanley, Pollock’s former Transvaal teammate, visited the 80-year-old at Sunninghill Hospital on Wednesday.
“They asked me about a rehab centre for Graeme, who tells me he’s getting better,” Hanley told Rapport newspaper. “He’s still walking with help but talking better and he’s making sense, which he didn’t with all the meds he was on in the intensive care unit.”
Hanley said Pollock had received a lot of visitors this week.
“Kevin McKenzie visited him on Thursday, and guys like Hugh Page and Albie During were also with him.
“It’s good to know he’s over the worst.”
