The Play of the Day goes to Ben Cutting, for smashing the biggest six of the tournament in the final over against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
What a time to do that. The Australian all-rounder had the cutting edge in the last over of the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings in the final against RCB, smashing 23 runs off hapless countryman Shane Watson. The first of his three sixes in that over was a full toss, which allowed Cutting to open up and smash it clear out of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It disappeared a mighty 117 metres, eclipsing AB de Villiers’ 111m strike against the Sunrisers in the group stages. Cutting’s 39 off 15 balls helped the Sunrisers to 208-7.
