The IPL Play of the Day goes to Virat Kohli for his superb catch to send Delhi Daredevils batsman Karun Nair back to the pavilion.
There’s very little Virat Kohli can’t do. Four IPL tons this season was backed up by another brilliant display on Sunday, as he carried his bat with 54 not out to see his Royal Challengers Bangalore side over the line and through to the playoffs.
When he’s not perfecting it in the middle, he’s producing miracles in the field, and his catch to see off Nair was one of his best. A lofty drive from Nair appeared to carry easily over mid-off, but Kohli scampered back and composed himself to make a near-impossible catch for some look simple. The victory means he remains on track to become the first ever to score 1 000 IPL runs in a season.
