The IPL Play of the Day goes to Chris Morris, for his epic tumble before attempting to bowl his first delivery.

As Morris charged in for his first delivery in the seventh over of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ innings, his landing foot didn’t grip the surface, causing him to slide and fall badly, and it appeared a bit of damage had been done to his hand. His dusted himself off, however, and carried on, and carried on very well at that. He finished with figures of 1-19 from three overs.

The spirit of cricket on display during the incident was at its finest, as the non-striker batsman, Robin Uthappa, immediately went to check if he was okay. Knowing it was a dead ball, Morris cheekily threw the ball on to the stumps with Uthappa out of his crease, before raising his finger to single it as out. Morris is becoming more and more popular with each game he plays.
