South African all-rounder Wayne Parnell will join the Cape Cobras from the Warriors next season.
Parnell’s agent, Donne Commins, confirmed the news to the Cape Times.
Commins said Parnell has been spending more and more of his free time in Cape Town of late and he believes a lifestyle move to the Mother City will do him good.
Parnell, 25, is a product of the Warriors system, having been schooled at Grey High School in Port Elizabeth and coming through the junior Eastern Province representative teams.
He was part of the South African squad who went to the recent World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, but only played one game against India in the second pool match. Parnell has been in and out of the ODI side, struggling to nail down a permanent place in the team due his inconsistent performances.
He has played four Tests, 46 ODIs and 33 T20 internationals for the Proteas.
