Rishabh Pant breaking the record for the most dismissals by an Indian wicketkeeper in a Test is our Play of the Day.
The 21-year-old marked his first Test against Australia with an excellent performance behind the stumps by taking 11 dismissals in India’s 31-run victory against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

His magnificent performance saw him take six catches in Australia’s first innings, the most by any keeper in one innings at the venue, and he equalled MS Dhoni for the most by an Indian wicketkeeper worldwide.
He claimed another five catches in the second innings to claim the record for the most dismissals by an Indian keeper. Pant’s effort saw him draw level with England’s Jack Russell and South Africa’s AB de Villiers for the all-time record of 11 catches in a Test as he took the wicket of Mitchell Starc off the bowling of Mohammed Shami.
He had the opportunity to break the all-time record with Australia eight down on day five, but he dropped a difficult chance that would have sent Nathan Lyon packing off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah.
