An overwhelming majority of SACricketmag.com readers believe Quinton de Kock made the right call not to play against the West Indies on Tuesday.
The Proteas wicketkeeper-batter pulled out of the XI following Cricket South Africa’s directive to the players that they had to “take the knee” in support of Black Lives Matter before their remaining T20 World Cup matches.
De Kock had been among a group of players who had opted to remain standing in the past.
In a SACricketmag.com poll that attracted almost 8,000 votes, 81% said De Kock made the right call to stand by his convictions.
