Wihan Lubbe and JJ Smuts hit big centuries as the EP Warriors beat the Boland Rocks by 86 runs in Paarl on Sunday.
Opener Lubbe smashed 162 off 137 balls (12 fours and seven sixes) while Smuts, batting at No 3, scored 125 off 114 (14 fours and one six).
The two put on 280 runs for the second wicket as the Warriors posted 357-6.
In reply, the Rocks were bowled out for 271 in 45.2 overs.
Stiaan van Zyl (59), Valentine Kitme (56) and Imran Manack (51*) scored half-centuries, while Smuts took 3-51 with the ball.
The other three Division 1 matches on Sunday were all wrecked by rain.
In Centurion, the Northerns Titans were 110-2 after 20 overs against Western Province when play was stopped.
In Bloemfontein, the KZN Dolphins were 205-9 after 47.2 overs when their clash against the Free State Knights came to a premature end.
The match between the North West Dragons and Central Gauteng Lions in Potchefstroom was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Two Division 2 matches – Eastern Storm vs KZN Inland Tuskers and Eastern Cape Iinyathi vs South Western Districts – were rained out.
In a match reduced to 23 overs a side, the Northern Cape Heat beat the Limpopo Impalas by 21 runs.
