Ryan Rickelton scored 99 off 96 balls as the Central Gauteng Lions beat the Boland Rocks by 111 runs at the Wanderers on Sunday.
Rickelton fell agonisingly short of what would have been a fourth century in his last six innings across the 4-Day Series and One-Day Cup.
He received good support from Reeza Hendricks, who scored 44 off 45 balls, before Evan Jones hit 48* off 27 to help get the Lions to 293-9 in their 50 overs.
The Rocks were bowled out for 182 in 31.4 overs. Captain Shaun von Berg top-scored with an unbeaten 47 off 44 balls, while Lions pace bowler Malusi Siboto took 4-48 in 9.4 overs.
At Newlands, Tony de Zorzi maintained his outstanding batting form with 83* off 92 balls as Western Province beat the Northerns Titans by seven wickets with 18.2 overs to spare.

The Titans were bowled out for 157 in 39 overs with pace bowler Nandre Burger and spinner George Linde taking three wickets each.
In Bloemfontein, the Free State Knights beat the EP Warriors by five wickets, with Patrick Botha scoring 60* off 76 balls and Patrick Kruger 55* off 58.
Earlier, the Warriors were bowled out for 222 in 48 overs having been 176-3 in the 36th over. Tristan Stubbs top-scored with 46 while Wihan Lubbe and captain Diego Rosier both made 45.
Mbulelo Budaza and Jacques Snyman took three wickets each.
In Potchefstroom, the North West Dragons beat the KZN Dolphins by seven runs (DLS Method) in a rain-affected match.
Christopher Britz (94* off 108 balls) and Senuran Muthusamy (88* off 94) helped the Dragons recover from 43-4 to post 233-4 in 47 overs.
The Dolphins fell just short of their revised target of 247 runs from 46.1 overs, ending on 239-9.
Andile Phehlukwayo top-scored for the visitors with 46 off 32 balls, while Renaldo Meyer took 4-22 in six overs for the hosts.
