Three of the four first-class debutants in the KZN-WP match have enjoyed some success, with WP’s Jonathan Bird scoring 42 in his side’s first innings and 19-year-old Yves Kamanzi taking 4-36 on Thursday, while on Friday Matthew Montgomery scored 39. Luke Philander was the fourth debutant and has yet to reach double figures or take a wicket in the match, and will be hoping the final day on Saturday brings some reward.
