No tickets will be sold for the first Test between the Proteas and India at SuperSport Park in Centurion from 26 December.
While current Covid-19 regulations allow 2,000 spectators, and CSA acting CEO Pholetsi Moseki said a final decision would be made early this week, Rapport newspaper understands that no spectators will be allowed except a few suite holders and delegates.
The Central Gauteng Lions said on Friday, using the Wanderers Stadium’s Twitter account, that they are not sure whether tickets will be sold for the second Test, which starts on 3 January.
“At this stage, it is not clear whether spectators will be allowed. We will make further announcements soon,” the Lions said.
