Former Proteas assistant coach Enoch Nkwe will join the Central Gauteng Lions as a strategic cricket consultant.
He will be with the team in March and April.
Nkwe was appointed Lions head coach in 2018, winning both the CSA T20 Challenge and the 4-Day Series in his first season. He also coached the Jozi Stars to the inaugural Mzansi Super League title.
In August 2019, Enoch was appointed as Proteas interim team director before becoming an assistant coach under Mark Boucher. He resigned from that role in August last year.
“Enoch is a dear friend to us at the Lions,” said Lions head coach Wandile Gwavu. “He is vastly experienced, passionate and dedicated and will certainly add tremendous value to all layers of our union. I am very excited to work with him again and have him a part of our environment.”
