The series has seesawed between the two sides after Pakistan struck the first blow with a victory in the opening ODI.

The Proteas made two changes to their starting XI after Pakistan broke their seven-match unbeaten Pink Day streak. Wiaan Mulder and Dwaine Pretorius have replaced Beuran Hendricks and David Miller. Du Plessis said that they would like to test out their all-rounders. There is no better way to test these players than in a must-win clash against a resilient Pakistan outfit.
Pakistan have stuck with the same XI as the Pink ODI.
