The Proteas lost the toss and will bat first in a reduced 10-over-a-side T20I against Australia in Carrara.
After a 2-1 series win against Australia, the Proteas sign off with a one-off experimental T20 against the hosts.
The rain delay has reduced the match to a T10I as the Proteas give opportunities to Farhaan Behardien, Chris Morris and Tabraiz Shamsi.
This is a massive opportunity for the new additions as they aim to stake a claim for the 2019 World Cup.
