David Miller’s late flourish finished off the Sunrisers Eastern Cape as the Paarl Royals cruised to a five-wicket victory at St George’s Park.
Miller’s undefeated 37 off 23 balls ensured the Royals reached their target of 131 with seven balls remaining and earned him the Man of the Match award.
The win takes the Royals level on points with the second-placed Sunrisers on the SA20 log.

Bjorn Fortuin struck with a wicket just five balls into the match, when a brilliant catch from Miller dismissed Sunrisers opener Adam Rossington.
Five overs later Jordan Hermann was caught behind by Jos Buttler off a superb ball from Evan Jones.
With two wickets down and only 30 runs on the scoreboard, JJ Smuts impressed with 65 of 49 balls, including nine fours. Despite Smuts’ efforts, the Royals were restricted to 130-7.
Jones took 2-27 in his four overs, while Andile Phelukwayo was as convincing in taking 2-26 in four overs.
HIGHLIGHTS: Sunrisers Eastern Cape vs Paarl Royals
Buttler would make the main scoring contribution for the Sunrisers, hitting 51 of 39 balls, which included four boundaries and two sixes.
Buttler is among the best white-ball players in the world, but if he set it all up, it was Miller who matched the Englishman’s start with a match-winning finish.
