Australia A is in command of the second unofficial Test after ending the day on 290-6, with Marsh undefeated on 86 from 151 balls.
Marsh and Michael Neser (44 from 108 balls) will resume their undefeated seventh wicket partnership tomorrow morning after adding 110 runs together.
Earlier Kurtis Patterson (48 from 71 balls) and skipper Travis Head (68 off 128 balls) put on 92 for the second wicket after the loss of Matt Renshaw for a duck.
South African-born Marnus Labuschagne was dismissed for a duck before Marsh added 40 for the sixth wicket with Ashton Agar (23) before being joined at the crease by Neser.
Kuldeep Yadav (2-68) and Shahbaz Nadeem (2-64) enjoyed some success with the ball at the end of a long day that saw the Aussies put together 253-8 off 104.6 overs.
Australia A won the first unofficial Test by 98 runs, with the series set to be decided at the end of this second four-day match.
