Shashank Manohar will remain the chairman of the ICC until his current term ends in June 2018.
This comes just two months after Manohar had announced his decision to step down as chairman for ‘personal reasons’. He was subsequently convinced by ICC directors, as well as full member and associate member nations, to continue.
The ‘overwhelming support’ Manohar received, proved enough to persuade him to remain in the position until June 2018.
His decision will bring much-needed continuity and stability to the governing body after changes to the revenue structure were announced last month.
