Wihan Lubbe and Dewald Brevis hit half-centuries for the SA Invitational XI against the West Indies in Benoni on Wednesday.
The tourists declared their first innings closed on 283-9 overnight, which saw Lubbe and Bryce Parsons at the crease when day two of the unofficial three-day match began.
The two put on 39 for the first wicket before Parsons was dismissed for 25. Daniel Smith (33) helped take the total to 112, with Lubbe going on to make 71 off 131 balls (nine fours, one six).
Brevis, who has yet to make his first-class debut for the Titans, came in at No 4 and struck 50 off 64 deliveries (eight fours, one six).

Ruan de Swardt (40 off 44), Evan Jones (23 off 21) and Corbin Bosch (31* off 36) then all played positively to get the hosts to 317 all out in 89.5 overs.
Roston Chase (3-94) andĀ Akeem Jordan (3-32) were the West Indies’ most successful bowlers.
The first Test between the Proteas and West Indies in Centurion starts on Tuesday, 28 February.
