Richard Levi smashed 40 off just 17 balls as the Western Province Blitz cruised to a seven-wicket win over the EP Warriors at St George’s Park on Wednesday.
Levi, who hit five fours and three massive sixes, put on 63 for the first wicket with Jonathan Bird (39 off 26) in just 4.4 overs in pursuit of 164 to win.
Tiaan van Vuuren dismissed Levi and Mthiwekhaya Nabe picked up the wickets of Bird and Gavin Kaplan (12), but George Linde (34*) and Dane Vilas (33*) steered WP home with 17 balls to spare.
Earlier, Wihan Lubbe’s unbeaten 69 off 59 balls enabled the Warriors to post 163-5.
The opener was well supported by Lesiba Ngoepe (36 off 20) and Tristan Stubbs (21 off 11).
