Sandeep Lamichhane took his career-best T20 figures of 4-10 as the Quetta Gladiators struggled to 106 all out, with AB de Villiers leading the Lahore Qalandars to an 8-wicket victory.
Ahsan Ali top-scored for the Gladiators with 33 off 25 balls, while Lamichhane accounted for the wickets of their batting stars Shane Watson (7), Rilee Rossouw (8), Umar Akmal (1), as well as Danish Aziz (1).
Lamichhane also took a catch off the bowling off Yasir Shah to dismiss Sarfaraz Ahmed for 29, and his economy rate over his four overs was just 2.50 runs per over as the Gladiators were bowled out for 106 off 19.1 overs.
The Qalanders had no problem knocking off the runs in 16.3 overs, Haris Sohail (33 not out off 42 balls, 3×4) and AB de Villiers (47 not out off 38 balls, 7×4, S/R 123.68) seeing their side through to the win.
