The Kings XI Punjab collapsed spectacularly to lose by two runs to the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Chasing a modest 165 for victory and, after a 115-run opening stand between Mayank Agarwal (56) and KL Rahul (74), then needing 21 off 17 deliveries with nine wickets in the bank, KXIP fell apart.
They lost four wickets for just 14 runs after Agarwal was dismissed, and ended up needing 14 off the last over. Credit spinner Sunil Narine (2-28) and seamer Prasidh Krishna (3-28), whose suffocating bowling earned their side victory.
Shubman Gill continued his strong form for KKR, the opener scoring 57, while Dinesh Karthik smashed 58 off 29 balls in an innings that featured eight fours and two sixes.
