The Knights and Warriors shared a washout, after Tuesday’s CSA T20 Challenge at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley was abandoned without a ball bowled.
An estimated 130mm fell in the region since Sunday, leaving conditions too sodden for play.
The no-result afforded the Knights and Warriors two points each. The latter currently occupy first position in the 2019 tournament’s six-team standings.
Wednesday will see the Dolphins host the Lions at Kingsmead in Durban, while the Cape Cobras will meet the Titans at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. The uncapped Donovan Ferreira has been named in the Titans squad.
All-rounder Ferreira played for Northerns in last year’s Africa T20 Cup – and impressed with 43 against Gauteng and two wickets against South Western Districts.
The Titans will head into the fixture on the back of last week’s rain-affected loss to the Warriors in Centurion, where batsman Theunis de Bruyn’s half-century went in vain.
‘They’ll come out punching and wanting to win. So will we after that first game, and we will need to make sure we get that first win under the belt. All the focus and energy is geared towards the game. Everyone wants to get some momentum going,’ said Titans assistant coach Mandla Mashimbyi.
