A controlled innings from Eoin Morgan carried the Kolkata Knight Riders to a comfortable five-wicket win over the Punjab Kings in the IPL on Monday.
Set just 134 to win, with Prasidh Krishna recording impressive bowling figures of 3-30 for KKR, there was never likely to be any dramas in the run chase.
Although KKR did stumble when reduced to 17-3 at one point, the chase was stabilised by Rahul Tripathi (41) and Morgan (47 not out).
That was enough to see the Knight Riders to victory with more than three overs remaining.
A comfortable 5 wickets win for @KKRiders as they finish the job with 20 balls to spare. With this performance against #PBKS, #KKR‘s four-match losing streak comes to an end. https://t.co/sBoaBIpF2J #PBKSvKKR #VIVOIPL pic.twitter.com/7ZgBzU7MCO
