Proteas speedster Kagiso Rabada had a compelling message for the Delhi Capitals and their fans, after he was withdrawn from the IPL by CSA as a precautionary measure.
The 23-year-old, who took 25 wickets for the men in blue, returned home on Friday after pulling out of the side’s game on Wednesday due to a stiff back.
His withdrawal was confirmed on Twitter by the Delhi franchise.

Rabada had a strong message to the Delhi fans and everyone involved with the franchise, which was released on the team’s website.
‘My journey in IPL 2019 has truly been fantastic. You guys have made it so special. The entire support staff, all my teammates, all our fans – thanks you all for all the wonderful memories. I will certainly cherish them for life.
‘Thanks for making me feel at home from the beginning of the season. I am getting a little emotional now as each moment spent with you all was euphoric.
‘I will miss the laughs, the team huddles, the pool and gym sessions, training sessions (those that I attended :P), the fun events, learning Hindi, the post-victory celebrations, the birthday celebrations, the parties – whose details I can’t give here.
‘I am glad that I got a chance to interact with everyone in the team. You are all beautiful human beings.
‘This team has taught me fair play, respecting peers and opponents, how to handle the lows, and most importantly – the value of friendship. It gives me immense pride to say I am a part of this franchise.
‘There isn’t a better feeling than winning a match for your team. I will never forget the super over I bowled against KKR at home. It gave me so much confidence, that I did not look back thereafter. Thanks for backing me in such crunch situations.
‘The most important learning for me has been to develop the ability to think on my feet and bowl according to what the situation demands. I feel I have really grown as a bowler.
‘What I love most about DC is the brotherhood in the team. I was just so comfortable sharing my thoughts with all of you. I hope you all enjoyed my company as much as I enjoyed yours.
‘Now that we have made it to the playoffs, we must take it all the way guys… you must take it all the way. Just keep believing boys, I am sure we will keep achieving. Good luck for the future games. I know you will kill it and win the trophy. Peace out.
‘To the fans – just keep pouring in the love and roar for DC as loudly as possible. Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost (My friend, the film isn’t over yet).
‘Hugs and love for everyone – KG’
