Former Proteas all-rounder Jacques Kallis’ statistical record is one of the best in the history of cricket, but his average for winning man of the match awards in both the Test and ODI formats wasn’t too shabby either.
Recent lists doing the rounds on Twitter indicate that Kallis averaged a man of the match award every 7.2 Test matches and he boasts a total of 23 accolades in his illustrious Test career – the most of any player in the world.
Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram, though, has a better average (6.1) but from a total of 17 awards.

Among other South African cricketers and in the ODI format, Kallis got the award a total of 32 times – also the most – at an average of 10.3 matches.
Current ODI skipper Quinton de Kock, though, sports a better average at the moment with an award every 8.1 matches from a total of 15.
