South African-born Keaton Jennings (son of legendary wicketkeeper Ray Jennings) has taken four catches in Sri Lanka’s first innings of the third Test at Colombo.
Jennings needs one more to equal the record for the most catches in a Test innings, which is currently held by 11 players.
KEATON’S CATCHES
MD Gunathilaka | c Jennings b Leach | 18 |
FDM Karunaratne | c Jennings b Rashid | 83 |
DM de Silva | c Jennings b Rashid | 73 |
ARS Silva | c Jennings b Rashid | 3 |
Jennings only took one catch in the first Test at Galle and one in the second Test at Kandy, where England won by 57 runs, but he did combine in an incredible double act to assist keeper Ben Foakes to dismiss Dimuth Karunaratne. No column for assists in cricket, unfortunately!
What a catch! England pair Keaton Jennings and Ben Foakes combine for an amazing play against Sri Lanka.
