Former Proteas pace bowler Shabnim Ismail bowled the fastest ball ever recorded in women’s cricket in the Women’s Premier League on Tuesday.
The second delivery of the 35-year-old’s third over for the Mumbai Indians against the against the Delhi Capitals was clocked at 132.1 km/h.
Ismail finished with figures of 1-46 in her four overs as the Capitals posted 192-4.
Mumbai were restricted to 163-8 and lost by 29 runs.
