The 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) will get under way with a mouthwatering clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9 April.
The almost two-months-long competition will once again be held on Indian shores after the UAE hosted the 2020 edition where Rohit Sharma captained Mumbai to their fifth IPL crown.
All the playoff matches will be held at the new Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with the final scheduled to take place on 30 May.
The first half of encounters will all take place in Mumbai and Chennai before the cities of Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata will be introduced.
The fixture list will accommodate a total of 11 double-headers with no spectators allowed to attend at first.
