India scrambled a single off the final ball of the third T20I against the West Indies to clinch victory and with it a 3-0 series victory at Chennai.
With the series lost, the West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first and got off to a flying start, Shai Hope (24 off 22 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (26 off 21) adding 51 for the first wicket in six overs.
Darren Bravo (43 not out off 37 balls, two fours, two sixes) and Nicholas Pooran (53 not out off 25 balls, four four, four sixes) finished the innings on fire with an undefeated 87-run partnership for the fourth wicket as the West Indies closed on 181-3 off their 20 overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the most economical with the ball, taking 2-28 (econ 7.00) off his four overs.
Shikhar Dhawan (92 off 62 balls, 10 fours, two sixes) and Rishabh Pant (58 off 38 balls, five fours, three sixes) added 130 for the third wicket to take their side to the brink of victory before a late rally by the West Indies took the match down to the wire before India clinched the match for a 3-0 series clean sweep.
Keemo Paul took 2-32 off his four overs (econ 8.00), while Dhawan went home with the Player of the Match honours.
