The Boland Rocks will face the Northerns Titans in Sunday’s T20 Challenge final after beating the Western Province Blitz by seven wickets at St George’s Park.
Needing 119 to win Friday’s second semi-final, the Malan brothers – Janneman (39 off 35 balls) and Pieter (57 off 57) – put on 100 for the first wicket in 14.5 overs.
While both were dismissed in quick succession, an unbeaten 11 from Clyde Fortuin got the Rocks home with 11 balls to spare.
Earlier, paceman Ziyaad Abrahams took 4-34 as WP were bowled out for 118 in 19.5 overs.
Jonathan Bird (31 off 32 balls) and Gavin Kaplan (31 off 31) top-scored for the Blitz, while Siyabonga Mahima and Shaun von Berg picked up two wickets each.
