The Northern Cape Heat beat the Free State Knights by four runs in the second T20 Knockout semi-final in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
The Heat will face the Limpopo Impalas – who beat the Eastern Cape Iinyathi by 17 runs on Wednesday – in Sunday’s Division 2 final in Polokwane.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, the Heat posted 186-5, with Jonathan Vandiar (56), CP Klijhans (46), Hanu Viljoen (25*), Grant Thompson (22) and Modiri Litheko (19) making significant contributions.
Jacques Snyman took 2-20 in four overs for Free State.
Tshepo Ntuli, Ernest Kemm and Basheer Walters then each claimed two wickets to restrict the Knights to 182-9.
Isaac Dikgale top-scored for the hosts with 43, while Patrick Botha made 33 and Dian Forrester 25.
